Des cadavres humains congelés par cryogénie pourraient être ramenés

350 personnes dans le monde ont leur cadavre conservé à basse température immédiatement après leur mort dans l'espoir qu'il puisse être réanimé un jour.
Dennis Kowalski, président du Cryonics Institute, basé dans le Michigan, une organisation à l'avant-garde du processus de congélation humaine, a affirmé que les scientifiques pourraient réanimer l'un de ces cadavres dans les dix prochaines années.
M. Kowalski, 49 ans, a déclaré : "Si vous preniez quelque chose comme la RCR, cela aurait semblé incroyable il y a 100 ans. Maintenant, nous tenons cette technologie pour acquise.
RCR = réanimation cardio respiratoire – est une procédure de sauvetage d'urgence effectuée lorsque le cœur cesse de battre. La RCP immédiate peut doubler ou tripler les chances de survie après un arrêt cardiaque.
L'American Heart Association invite à partager ette vision : un monde où personne ne meurt d'un arrêt cardiaque.
Chaque année, 350 000 personnes meurent d'un arrêt cardiaque aux États-Unis.
Ce nombre pourrait tomber à zéro.

Human corpses frozen by cryogenics could be brought back
to life in the next decade, an expert has claimed.
Around 350 people worldwide have had their corpse preserved at low temperatures immediately after death in the hope it can be revived in the future.
Dennis Kowalski, president of the Michigan-based Cryonics Institute – an organisation fronting the human freezing process – has now claimed scientists could reanimate one of these corpses within the next ten years.
, Mr Kowalski, 49, said: 'If you take something like CPR, that would have seemed unbelievable 100 years ago. Now we take that technology for granted.
CPR = Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation – is an emergency lifesaving procedure performed when the heart stops beating. Immediate CPR can double or triple chances of survival after cardiac arrest.
