Last year, you raised $50,070 to support the work of Sose’s Women NGO, a women’s empowerment organization based in Goris, Armenia, that has been supporting families displaced by the Second Artsakh War.
The town of Goris became a sort of ground zero for the estimated 100-120,000 refugees that sought shelter in Armenia during the war. Today there are about 5,000 permanently displaced Artsakhtsis living in and around Goris.
Using the money you raised, Sose has set up a sewing workshop where the women of 100 families have the opportunity to learn how to sew and then sell their work in the local Armenian market at competitive prices, earning much needed incomes. Read about the impact you’ve created on The 1A Blog.
