When the fighting started in northern Armenia in July this year, we planned a series called ARMENIA AND AZERBAIJAN: WE’RE NOT PAYING ATTENTION. It turned out we were right. The world was indeed not paying attention. Today, with war raging, the Institute will present a series of public conversations with scholars, journalists, and government officials. Each of these deep dive sessions will be streamed LIVE. The first is this Friday, October 9, at noon PDT, on YouTube, Facebook and the Institute’s site. It will be available to view on demand immediately after the event concludes 80-90 minutes later.
Please tell your friends. This conflict is complex. Otherwise, it would have been resolved by now. The only path to a resolution is to inform opinion and policy makers. That is our mission as a research institute. Please join me, in conversation with Professor Steve Swerdlow of the USC School of International Relations, Dr. Anna Ohanyan of Stonehill College, and Emil Sanamyan, editor of the Institute’s FOCUS ON KARABAKH site. Also joining us will be high-ranking officials on the ground from Armenia and Artsakh.
