April 24^{th _} the day of the commemoration of the Genocide is approaching.

This year all the conventional forms of commemoration had to be cancelled because of the global health emergency caused by Covid-19. Nevertheless, a virtual commemoration of the Armenian Genocide is to be held worldwide. Therefore, it is crucial to actively participate in the initiatives online and remind of our demands which have not changed. Namely, these demands are the recognition and condemnation of the Armenian Genocide (in particular by Turkey), justice and reparations for all the damage caused and criminalization of its denial.

Considering the current situation, in particular the general lockdown, the Armenian communities of Europe will also hold various activities of virtual commemoration. We call on you and count on you to make the topic of the Armenian Genocide trending on Twitter, that is, to make the Armenian Genocide one of the most popular and discussed topics on Twitter on 24. April.

Therefore we suggest that on April 24, from 11:00-14:00  you

1.     draft and post a tweet and/or an image on the Armenian Genocide

2.     while doing this please make sure to use the following hashtags: 

#Justice for the #ArmenianGenocide

#VirtualCommemoration

You are also welcome to tag your local legislative bodies or relevant authorities in the tweets, if you consider this necessary.
