Yeramian à Izmit , un nouvel article de Houshamadyan
DA | Nounia Yeramian Collection – Athens
Houshamadyan is proud to present an exceptional collection belonging to Nounia Yeramian, a resident of Athens. Her forbearers, the Der Nersesian, Vosganian and Yeramian families, hail from Izmit (Nicomedia). Some family members would later settle in Greece via Smyrna and Constantinople.
There‘s a wealth of material from Izmit, Jerusalem (where family members visited on pilgrimage), Constantinople and, of course, Greece.
Krikor Yeramian, Nounia‘s father, was orphaned during the Genocide and lived in various orphanages, first in Constantinople and later the Greek island of Corfu (Kerkyra). He kept a rich treasure trove of items depicting daily life in the orphanages and photos of friends, which are also displayed here.
