As an elected member of the Glendale Unified School District’s Board of Education, Nayiri has been a forceful advocate for every student’s opportunity to learn and succeed. She played a critical role in significantly reducing the rates of expulsion and suspension, securing mental health services by social worker interns, strengthening dual language academies, expanding career and technical education opportunities, and establishing financial literacy curriculum.
