The critically acclaimed Dilijan Chamber Music Series welcomes back internationally renowned soprano Tony Arnold for a rare performance of Arnold Schoenberg’s masterpiece “The Book of Hanging Gardens,” as well as a world premiere composed by Boston-based Dan Sedgwick, based on the poetry of Henry Walters. The March 8 program, entitled “Goodnight Moon,” also features works by Schoenberg pupils Anton Webern (“Four Pieces,” Op. 7) and Alban Berg (“Adagio,” from Kammerkonzert), as well as Franz Schubert’s “Notturno” for piano trio. Artistic Director of the Yellow Barn Festival and a founding member of the Peabody Trio, pianist Seth Knopp makes his Dilijan Series debut, along with clarinetist Yasmina Spiegelberg and cellist Yoshika Masuda. Also performing are violinists Varty Manouelian and Movses Pogossian (Artistic Director of the Dilijan Series).
