Dear Neighbor,
As March 3rd approaches, I wanted to reach one more time and talk to you about this election. I want you to know that I will serve all of Glendale's residents; that, as a City Council member, I will represent YOU. We are a diverse community and each resident deserves to have an independent Council member who will speak for them. Not only will my door be open to you, but I will actively engage all segments of our city. I will address your concerns and focus on problem solving.
Many of you have expressed deep concerns about realtors, apartment owners, and other special interest groups giving money to candidates or sending out misleading campaign fliers. Did you know that these fliers cost upwards of $30,000, each? On top of that, these groups are running field campaigns to benefit their candidates. Long story short, 100's of thousands of dollars are being spent by special interest to get their candidates elected.
I have not asked for, and have not accepted, any help from these group, not that they'd offer it to me. I am running a grass roots campaign and my "staff" consists of my sons and their young friends who have volunteered their free time to help my campaign. Like you, I am a resident who wants the best for my city, not some special interest.
Please remember, our values as a community are what guide us as we work to make Glendale become the city we want and deserve. I am proud of my record of service to you and our city, and will continue to serve YOU when on Council.
Let's work together to make Glendale better and a city that our children will happily call home for a long time to come.
