Varagavan Kindergarten —
UPDATE
Thanks to the generous support gathered at the June 7, 2019 fundraiser at the home of Kelley & Greg Badishkanian, The Paros Foundation team launched the re-construction of the kindergarten in the Tavush border village of Varagavan on June 28, 2019.
Our construction team has already successfully replaced the entire roof and is now aggressively working on the complete renovation of the upper floor which will include enough space for two groups of students (classrooms, napping room, bathrooms.) Once completed, the team will begin the lower level which will house the kindergarten’s offices, auditorium, kitchen and dining hall and an additional set of bathrooms. A beautiful two story balcony will also be rebuilt and allow a very safe and comfortable space for teachers, children and parents to gather. Ultimately, the grounds will be landscaped to create an inviting space for the children to play. New furniture and a playground will complete this important project for this area.
About $6,000 is still needed to complete this $80,000 project in Varagavan. Please consider making a tax-deductible donation and help us complete this exciting project. The kindergarten in Varagavan will be the 8th kindergarten renovated or built in Tavush along the Armenia – Azeri border through The Paros Foundation's Prosperity on the Border initiative.
