The Catholicosate of the Great House of Cilicia has announced plans for a pan-Armenian conference devoted to the Armenian Press as part of the year-long commemoration of the Year of the Armenian Press that was proclaimed by His Holiness Catholicos Aram I in January.
The conference will take place July 2, 3, and 4, 2019, at the Catholicosate in Antelias, Lebanon. The conference will have a pan-Armenian focus and editors and journalists from Armenia, Artsakh, and the Diaspora are invited to participate. The conference will focus on the current challenges facing the Armenian Press, as well as other relevant topics such as the ways and means of working together, the use of modern technology, the role of social media in the world of reporting, and today’s struggles facing the Armenian print press.
